Stopped at TRU tonight - and actually did good

Had to run into Target to return a movie that was screwed up, and decided to head next door (well across the parking lot really) to make a run to TRU.

They had only 3 of 15 registers opened, and they were 15 deep or more in each line.

My wife and I both said that we had to find something really good to make it worth the wait in that line. Well, we should learn not to open our mouths like that. Didn't find the Sandman or any ML chases we hoped to (but knew we wouldn't) - but we did find this:

Green tagged Dementor ($3.99)

Then we lucked out somewhat on the LOTR figures with finding the Denethor, Shelob Attack Frodo and Smeagol. Can't remember the other one in this line, but other than the 16 Frodos left on the peg - that was it

And finally I was able to complete the Jedi council sets with the 3rd and 4th showing up on the shelves

The only thing I am really not happy about is the figure bashing Hasbro did on the last two sets. I can see re-releasing a Jedi that has been done, but to paint a different skin tone on one and just plain putting an Eeth Koth in the set and calling him something else just to complete the line sucks royally. But hey - I can replace them with any other spares later [img]smile.gif[/img]

So, all in all - it was worth the 30 minute wait to get through the line. That and since I had just had tacos - well, you can guess on that [img]wink.gif[/img]

Nice haul!

I stopped at about 6 TRU's Tuesday night and didn't find a single thing that was worth waiting in the roller coaster long lines at each of them.
